Pat Jones
Pat Jones serves as Director of Healthy Church Ministries, a position to which Bishop Ron Ramsey appointed him in 2005. Pat has spent much of the past four years on the road working closely with churches. He heads up the consultation process, our key strategy in revitalizing and energizing local churches.
Pat is also a history buff, and looks forward to addressing the banquet of the UB Historical Society.
Pat Jones has pastored the smallest United Brethren church, and the largest United Brethren church. Upon graduating from the Huntington University Graduate School of Christian Ministries in 1982, he and his wife, Pam, moved to Pennsylvania. There, he pastored three different churches:
- Initially, Pat served as part-time associate pastor of a church in Shippensburg while also starting a new church in Carlisle, Pa. That was the smallest church.
- Next, he pastored a church in Harrisburg, Pa., for three years. During that time, the attendance increased from 135 to 220.
- In 1991, he became senior pastor of King Street Church in Chambersburg, Pa. (the largest church). Under his leadership during the next 14 years, King Street's average attendance increased from around 800 to 1500.
Pat pastored King Street until 2005, when he left to become Director of Healthy Church Ministries.
Pat and Pam have two children.
- Jalonna is the children’s pastor at a large church in Wisconsin.
- Justin is a ministerial student at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind.
